ABOUT THIS STATION
Breaks music – also known as Breakbeat – was inspired by hip-hop’s heavy use of drum breaks in the 1980s as UK rave music expanded beyond its borders. The music often features broken drum loops and creative samples that include vocals and sounds from R&B, funk, and even jazz. The DI.FM Breaks music channel brings together the best of pure Breaks sounds with creative synths and effects.
